Why Anchor Placement Matters

Use appropriate locating methods and follow local electrical/plumbing practices before drilling, especially near outlets, switches, fixtures, kitchens, bathrooms, and known utility runs.

When to Change the Anchor or Use a Stud

If the proposed hole falls in damaged drywall, close to a problematic edge, or in a location where the load is substantial, fastening into suitable framing can be a better option when the mount and hardware are designed for it.

If framing is not available at the required position, choose an anchor system compatible with the wall thickness, cavity clearance, load direction, and wall condition. Do not rely on a generic weight claim without considering the actual installation.
