Pocket Hole Screws

Pocket hole screws are engineered fasteners designed for strong, concealed joints in woodworking and construction. Suitable for professional cabinet makers, furniture builders, and serious DIYers, these screws create robust connections without visible pilot holes. Our ALBO pocket hole screws are ideal for assembling cabinets, building frames, furniture repair, and various carpentry projects where clean finishes and strong joints are critical. They are specifically crafted to draw wood pieces tightly together, preventing splitting and ensuring a secure hold.

Choosing the Right Pocket Hole Screw

Selecting the correct pocket hole screw depends on material thickness and wood type:

  • Length: For material up to 3/4 inch thick, use 1-inch screws. For 1-1/2 inch thick material, use 2-1/2 inch screws. Common lengths for our #8 screws include 1 inch, 1-1/2 inch, and 2 inch.
  • Thread Type:
Coarse Thread: Recommended for softwoods (pine, cedar, fir), plywood, particleboard, and MDF. Coarse threads offer maximum holding power in these softer materials.
Fine Thread: Ideal for hardwoods (oak, maple, cherry) where finer threads prevent splitting and provide a stronger, more secure connection.
  • Head Type: All our ALBO pocket hole screws feature a washer head, distributing clamping force evenly and preventing pull-through in various wood types.

Durable Materials and Coatings

Our ALBO pocket hole screws are manufactured from high-quality carbon steel, offering excellent strength and durability for demanding applications. We stock both zinc-coated and blue zinc-coated carbon steel options. These coatings provide added corrosion resistance, making them suitable for interior projects and some exterior applications where moisture exposure is minimal.
